Harvest 2021 – Funds and Food

13th September 2021

This autumn, we are celebrating Harvest in person again, with so much to be grateful for, and so much more work to be done. As we celebrate the end of summer and the abundance that this brings, we also celebrate in the spirit of sharing and supporting one another.

This year, we are asking our incredible supporters and potential supporters to consider supporting the Southwark Foodbank with Funds and Food over Harvest. Both add so much value to our work and support people in Southwark facing crisis and helps us deliver our services.

So how can you help?

  1. Donate funds – donations of funds supports our work in so many ways and allows us to deliver our services on a day-to-day basis
  2. Donate food – donate some of our top 10 most needed items to help us stock up for the colder months of the year
  3. Campaign with us – As we know, the government is talking about removing the £20 weekly uplift in Universal Credit payments. This will affect so many people who face financial crisis regularly, impacting their ability to buy food.  £20 per week may not sound like a lot to most of us, but it makes all the difference to families on low income.

Add your voice to the Trussell Trust’s Keep the Lifeline Campaign and ask the government to #KeeptheLifeline and not deprive people in our community of the extra £20 which can make all the difference.
