Today marks the start of Lent, a time for reflection and preparation before Easter.
Many people chose to give something up and some supporters chose to put aside money or food for the 40 days to support people in crisis.
How can you support Southwark Foodbank this Lent?
1. Set aside a 40p every day of Lent for 40 days. This will give you £16 after 40 days. If you add Gift Aid to this, you will be able to donate £20 at Easter.
2. Donate an item or two of food when you shop and drop it off at your local supermarket.
3. Donate a food bundle with Bankuet to be delivered straight to our warehouse.
A £20 donation will help support a small family with an emergency food parcel.
Every little bit of support we receive counts and goes a long way to supporting local people facing crisis.
