Support Southwark Foodbank’s Harvest Appeal 2019

5th September 2019

Help Southwark Foodbank this Harvest

Last year we had a wonderful response from our community, with donations exceeding our previous Harvest. Harvest is traditionally a time where we celebrate and are thankful for abundance of food and share in it as a community. However, as the summer draws to a close, schools go back, and winter approaches, many families are put under extra pressure to make their finances stretch to provide food while dealing with the added cost of fuel and back to school expenses.

We saw an increase in families over the summer and our stocks are at their lowest of the year. We need to restock and make sure that we can provide support to those in need in the coming months.

How can you help?
  • Spread the word through your local community, church, faith groups, and schools
  • Donate food and money to support the foodbank.

You can drop off food at any of our collection points in the borough, including our warehouse at 121a Peckham High Street, SE15 5SE. Fo an up-to-date shopping list, see our website here. This year, we are running a Just Giving page to support the cost of the foodbank and you can give online here.

If you would like to get more involved, email us on [email protected].
